Mike's first experience with body
modification went bad when he learned the
hard way that the tattoo "artist" working
on him sucked... bad. Left with a patch of
skin that looked more like cancer than the
skull it was supposed to, Mike told the guy
off, and upon vowing to do a better tattoo
on himself, the guy replied, "Go ahead and
try." With nothing but an idea as to how it
was done, Mike got his hands on the
equipment he needed and went to town. The
end result was a first attempt at a tattoo
that was better than anything the previous
artist had ever done before.
At that point Mike realized that he had a
genuine talent for the art. Having heard
his calling he continued to advance his
skill as a hobbyist for the next eight
years.
Mike has been a professional tattoo artist
since 1999 when the owner of a local shop
gave Mike the opportunity to demonstrate
his ability and after seeing the completed
work invited him to start work the next
day. |
